After the Walk on Saturday I found myself celebrating the fifth anniversay of my group NAYA on the beach at Mero. Da pot was really good, a fish broth plus we had barbecue chicken on the grill but the highlight of the day was the rounders match. I doh know why dem girls thought they would beat the boys.Yea, i know dey say rounders is a female sport but men play it better, i can still see the girls with sand in their mouth wondering what happened eh, they even chicken out on the last innings.it was still all good though
These are the stories, adventures, interests, motivations and actions of a young Dominican man striving to make a difference in his island home. Please join the journey and share in the experiences. Thank You...

Walk for Education
that was saturday june 21, 2008 during the Walk for Education. Some members of the National Youth Council enjoying their walk on approach to Mahaut, makinng their way to Layou. We are not sure how much money was raised for the Education Trust Fund as donation sheets are still coming in but the crowd of persons who gathered for the walk was a good one, upwards of eighty. Hope our labouring bears some fruit. One addtional child helped is already of a success. Thanks to the Reunion 2008 Office and the Education Trust Fund Board for placing faith in the National Youth Council. Dee
